Terms and Conditions

When booking a yoga class, private session or event with Ambika Yoga you are entering into a contract with the following conditions:

Ambika Yoga is not liable for any costs incurred due to cancellation or changes caused by unforeseen events (weather, loss of venue or facilities, acts of God, a pandemic or any other event beyond our control). It is expected that adequate insurance is taken out by the client to cover them for any losses they may incur. In the event Ambika Yoga chooses to cancel a Yoga Teacher Training Course, Yoga Workshop or Yoga Retreat without rescheduling, any monies paid will be returned. If a rescheduling takes place and you are able to attend the new date(s), you will automatically be booked on. However, if you are unable to attend and request a refund, this will be provided.

It is the Clients responsibility to ensure they disclose any medical conditions or injuries, (including mental health conditions) to Ambika Yoga before taking on any classes, or events.

Ambika Yoga takes no responsibility for any injuries sustained by participation in yoga and related activities.

Block booked Private Yoga Classes:

Payment is due at the time of booking. By booking a block of private yoga classes you are receiving a discounted price for the classes which must be completed within a three month period. The cancellation period is 24 hours notice given in writing (e-mail and/or text/whatsapp), from the due start time of the class. If less than 24 hours notice is given the session will be charged.

No refunds are available for any Private Yoga Classes.

Workshops and Day Events:

For events that are a full day or less, then full payment is required at time of booking to secure your place. If you cancel with more than 28 days notice in writing then full payment less than £10 admin fee will be given. Cancellation between 28 and 14 days, 50% refund will be given. Cancellation with less than 14 days – no refund, credit or alternative will be given. You may be able to send a substitute in your place, but only if this is first agreed by Ambika Yoga.

Retreats and holidays longer than 2 nights:

A minimum deposit of £150 is required to book your place (this will vary for each retreat). The deposit amount is non-refundable. Cancellation is required in writing. Cancellation of more than 90 days – Full refund of monies paid (less deposit). Cancellation between 90 – 60 days, refund of 50% of the monies paid (after deposit amount deducted). Cancellation of less than 60 days, no refund, credit or exchange.

In the event of COVID-19 related sickness and you are unable to attend the event, we will require proof of this from your doctor or a COVID-19 positive test result documentation, after which you will be refunded minus a 10% administration fee.

If there is a COVID-19 outbreak in the area of an event, or Government Guidelines advise that in-person Yoga events do not take place, we will move the Yoga retreat to an alternative date in 2022. You will be fully notified of new dates that we propose, and you will be automatically transferred to the rescheduled event dates. Refunds will not be given if an event is rescheduled.

In the unfortunate event that one of our Yoga Teacher’s are unable to teach a scheduled retreat due to coronavirus, we reserve the right to reschedule dates to enable the safety of our students, as well as ensure the event is not cancelled indefinitely.

200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Courses & CPD Workshops

A full refund minus a 10% admin fee of the course price will be provided for cancellations, more than 30 days before the start date of the course or workshop. For cancellations with less than 30 days notice there are no refunds or transfers unless the following apply:

  • the course is full (up to 10 people maximum capacity teacher training) and your place can be filled by a waiting list or

  • you have a health issue preventing you from taking part in the course including COVID-19, injury/sickness or pregnancy and can provide a doctor’s note.

For the cases above we will refund the fee minus a 20% admin fee. Clients of Ambika Yoga are requested to agree to all terms and conditions upon booking onto a yoga teacher training course or CPD workshop.

  • In the event that a course is cancelled you will be offered a full refund, or the alternative to re-book onto another 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course or Workshop on an alternative date. When you have committed to a course we strongly advise attending all sessions and lectures to gain the most of the programme course.

  • In the case of cancelled transport (flights, trains, buses) we are unable to give refunds. Please make sure that you take out relevant insurance to cover you for these issues.

  • Refunds are not available after a course or workshop has started and we cannot process these after 24 hours following the start of the course. However, in the event of contracting COVID-19 during the course, we will offer you the alternative to transfer to the next scheduled 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course with Ambika Yoga.

  • We reserve the right to cancel the course for any reason. This will only happen in exceptional circumstances (for example; government guidelines or sickness of our teacher’s) that means we cannot offer the course as advertised, or if there are insufficient numbers for the course (minimum 5 on-line teacher training) or workshop (numbers vary depending on the studio), to make it viable for the teachers to teach the course. Should this happen you will have the option to re-book onto the next Yoga Teacher Training Course or workshop at a later date, or be offered a full refund. We take no responsibility for any additional costs that have been occurred for your travel, accommodation or rate of exchange loss.

  • To complete the teacher training course you are required to attend 90% of the contact hours required from the programme. If you miss modules you will be required to book catch up sessions with your tutors charged at £60 per hour. This could also include other students who have missed the same modules.

  • In the event that you contract coronavirus and are unable to attend the course due to self-isolation we will require a doctor’s note to confirm this, and we will offer you the option of retaking modules or sessions missed on the next 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course intake of students.

  • Alternatively, you will be offered to retake modules at the hourly rate of 60 per hour, per catch up session.

  • In the unfortunate event that one of the Senior Yoga Teacher’s are unable to teach modules on the course due to coronavirus, we reserve the right to reschedule dates to enable the safety of our students, as well as ensure the missed sessions are completed in due time to complete the Yoga Teacher Training Course.
